WALES RUGBY IN THE SPOT LIGHT

Mike Phillips has once again put Wales rugby in the spotlight after a recent bustup. The scrum-half fought with door staff outside a branch of McDonald’s in Cardiff at 3am on Tuesday before being led away by police.

He was due to link up with his Welsh team-mates at the National Centre of Excellence on Monday, but has now been ordered to stay away.

WRU group chief executive Roger Lewis said: “The player has been suspended due to a clear breach of the standards which we expect to be maintained by someone involved in one of our national squads.
